Moist and unstable air masses are being drawn towards the Alps from the south-west.

In the afternoon, there will be frequent showers, with isolated thunderstorms also possible. The heaviest rainfall will be in the eastern parts of the region, with lighter rain towards the upper Vinschgau valley. The rain will ease off during the evening, starting from the west.
Temperatures this afternoon will range between 14° and 20°.

Conditions in the mountains are adverse, with heavy cloud cover and, in places, heavy showers and thunderstorms. The snow line is dropping to around 2500 m, and as low as 2000 m along the alpine crest.
